Between the Gironde estuary and the Atlantic ocean, at the horse’s pace, come and discover the Pointe du Médoc, its history, its fauna and flora, its oddities… all making it worthy of its nickname as the little Bordeaux Camargue. A land full of contrast, the Médoc region is fascinating, it offers a complete change of scenery. In the east you’ll find dykes, polders, duck shooting and fishing huts, marshland called « mattes », cultivated fields at a level lower than the sea ….. In the west, its ocean face, over 30 miles of fine sand beaches and its tidy vineyards, lining the Gironde estuary, all contribute to making the area a world-renowned jewel... A flat country, land’s end, facing the ocean. We’d love to help you discover our Medoc county, firmly attached to its roots and traditions, and its earthly food.
